The DEFY Extreme is Zenith's 1/100th of a second chronograph in a 45 mm titanium case with the twelve-sided bezel of the Extreme line. The dial is tinted sapphire with applied counters, so the blue El Primero 9004 is visible from the front as well as the back.
The 9004 uses two escapements: one at 5 Hz for the time and one at 50 Hz for the chronograph, which is what lets the central hand complete a turn every second. The reserve is 50 hours, with a separate chronograph power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, and the case is rated to 200 metres. Delivered on the titanium bracelet with a rubber strap and a Velcro strap in the box.
