Gerald Charles
Gerald Charles at Little Europe
Founded in Geneva in 2000 by Gérald Charles Genta, Gerald Charles is the Maison the designer of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus created under his two first names. Its signature is the Maestro: a case suspended between a square and an octagon, with a gentle concave curve at six o'clock drawn from the Baroque architecture of Francesco Borromini. Owned by the Ziviani family since 2003, with its atelier in central Geneva, Gerald Charles makes around 1,500 watches a year.
At Little Europe Jewellers, on Front Street in Philipsburg since 1976 and an authorized Gerald Charles retailer, every piece comes with the full Gerald Charles warranty, the advantage of St. Maarten's duty-free shopping, and complimentary worldwide shipping arranged by our team. This is the collection to explore if you love the great designs of the 1970s and want the final chapter of the man who drew them.
Why Gerald Charles is different
Gerald Charles is an independent Maison with one shape at its heart, refined for two decades. What sets it apart:
- A case you recognise across a room. The Maestro, drawn by Gérald Charles Genta in 2005, is one of the few modern silhouettes identifiable without a logo.
- Finishing you can feel. Darkblast® titanium and hand polishing that takes four to five times longer than standard give each case its depth and light.
- Built for real life. ErgonTeq® ergonomics for comfort, and 5G shock resistance on the Maestro GC Sport and Maestro 3.0 Chronograph, the reason tennis players wear them on court.
- Independent and family-owned. A small Geneva house, not a group brand, making around 1,500 watches a year.
- A design legacy you can wear. Gerald Charles is the last Maison founded by Gérald Charles Genta, and its watches carry his final design language forward.
