Sint Maarten is a duty-free port. There is no import duty and no sales tax on luxury goods — so the same watch, from the same authorised dealer, with the same manufacturer warranty, carries a materially better value than it does in a taxed market.
What duty-free actually means here
Most countries add import duty when a luxury piece crosses the border, then add sales tax, VAT or GST when it is sold. Depending on where you live, that can be a significant addition to the brand’s published recommended retail price — before anyone has negotiated anything.
Sint Maarten applies neither. The price you see is the price of the piece.
And what about duty when it reaches me?
We pay it. Little Europe ships as the exporter of record and covers all importation duties and taxes on your behalf, worldwide. Nothing is collected from you on arrival.
So the value holds all the way to your door — it is not clawed back by a courier invoice three days later.
Is it the same piece?

We publish prices in US dollars. Where a brand publishes a recommended retail price, we invite you to compare — and then to talk to us. Pricing on significant pieces is a conversation, and we would rather have it with you directly than post a number that does not reflect what we can do.

Common questions
Do I pay tax when I bring it home?
Your own country’s personal allowance rules apply to anything you carry back yourself, and those vary — US residents, for example, have a duty-free personal exemption that differs by destination and length of stay. If we ship the piece to you instead, we handle the import and there is nothing for you to pay.
Do I need to be in St. Maarten to buy?
No. We ship worldwide, complimentary and fully insured, and we sell to clients who have never set foot on the island.
Is the warranty valid where I live?
Yes. These are the manufacturers’ international warranties, honoured by the brand’s authorised network globally.
